SUSIE CULPEPPER
FEMALE - 18 - AUGUST 11 - TRAINER - HUMAN
appearance
One of the more distinguishing features about Susie is that she always always always wears her long, orange-brown chestnut hair the same way, day after day. Most of her hair is kept down, but two braids on both side of her head are tied together with an elastic directly on the back of her head and then a tiny ponytail covers the connected braids. Her bangs cover her thin, slightly arched eyebrows to an extent. She absolutely refuses to wear her hair any way else, even in bed when she's sleeping.
Her hazel, round eyes match up with her hair, and her pale, clear skin complexion highlights the color of them. Her face shape is somewhat oval and rounded, pointed only at her chin. She has a slim, almost streamlined build, that lets her swim and run quickly and easily. She's of average height and doesn't have any abnormal features.

personality
Likes: Pokemon, swordfighting, all forms of winning, making and being with her friends. And she does enjoy a good rivalry packed with action and arguments, too.Dislikes: Horror movies, being wrong, Team Infinity. If there's something she hates with all of her heart, it's Team Infinity.Strengths: Smart, fast, brave, strong, and loyal.Weaknesses: Brash, know-it-all, fiery, disobedient, critical.Fears: Losing. She hates losing in all forms.Blunt- Susie has a tendency to be overtly rude and way too honest in front of people. This doesn't mean that she's mean, but if there's something that has to be said, she'll say it. With absolutely no regard to how you would feel afterwards. There's no filter from her mind to her mouth. People think that this is a good trait at first because she can say her opinion without holding back, but frankly, you don't want to listen to her opinion after awhile.
Arrogant - She's awesome. She's invincible. Invulnerable. Or at least she likes to think this way. Susie thinks highly of herself and isn't afraid to show it. Her triumphs are actually impressive, but she exaggerates her greatness more than she should. This means that she takes losses rather hard, but even after a humiliating defeat, she's still convinced that she's the coolest thing since sliced bread and she just had a bad day. It takes a really bad loss to take her down a notch.
Passionate - That's an understatement. She's fiercely loyal and ardent to her cause and whoever or whatever she's fighting for. Are you her friend? Then you can rest easy. Susie's got your back, and if anybody wants to hurt someone or something she cares about, they're going to have to go through her first. She's always arguing for her beliefs and friends and never backs down even in the most hopeless situations if her causes are on the line.
Wild - Okay, that's an even bigger understatement. She's unpredictable, she's crazy, she's a fighter, she's a wildcat, she's a barbarian. It's probably impossible to keep her reined in, because she snaps every chain that bars her way. If you're in her path, Susie will just mow you down. Unless you're even wilder than she is, don't mess with her. It's probably not good for your health.
Outgoing - Hey, how's it going? Despite her craziness, Susie tends to be able to scrape in a load of friends (and enemies, but that's not the point here). She loves to talk and gossip with everyone she sees, and enjoys a good rivalry or a close friendship. She's the sort of person who would just approach you if you're sitting in a coffee shop alone and if you two have the same interests, boom. Instant friendship, just add water.
history
Before Susie was even born in Midori, her parents had already divorced because of their completely opposite differences. Robert Culpepper was a fiery and passionate politician, and Leah Culpepper was a semi-famous model who was tired of her husband's political viewpoints and never saw anything in his perspective. The two of them would have continuous fights, and weeks before their daughter was born, they had a legal divorce after awhile of hardly being able to stand in the same room together without bickering. Leah took custody of Susie, moved to Johto, and raised her until she was eleven. The child, Leah discovered, had the same exact attitude as her father. The only attribute she and her daughter shared was their looks, particularly her eyes.
Susie couldn't stand having such a boring life with a placid, ladylike mother who tried to have her act the same way. When she was halfway through her eleventh year of life, she asked if she could live with her father, far away in the Midori region. She wanted to be a trainer in a land with such diverse amounts of Pokemn, and possibly beat many gyms as she progressed through life. Her mother despaired, but eventually agreed after several months of putting up with her daughter's stubborn, ardent, and outspoken ways. Delighted, Susie caught a ship on its way to Midori and went to live with her father.
Finally, someone who shared the same perspectives as her! Susie and Robert latched onto each other like two perfectly fitting puzzle pieces. She wanted to learn the art of swordsmanship, so her father introduced her to Damascus, his strongest Pokemon. He was a strict Gallade who had pushed himself to the limit to unlock the secrets of skillful sword art, so he took it upon himself to teach Susie how to fight with steel. It didn't work out for the first couple of months. Susie was continually beaten down by Damascus and his harsh training, and she struggled through the daily lessons, accumulating a number of bruises as she did so. Still, she continued to push herself alongside her instructor, and soon enough she became rather skilled in the art. She was naturally fast, and after months of lifting weights as she was told to do by Damascus, she became physically strong as well.
Robert also trusted Meena, his Staraptor, to look after his daughter in ways that he couldn't provide. Meena was a motherly, overprotective Staraptor who Susie took a liking to right away, partly because she always agreed with her views. While Damascus was a strict teacher, Meena was a soothing mother.
After awhile, she was vying to start her journey as a trainer. She loved the idea of roaming the world and couldn't stand the fact that Team Infinity and their Shadow Pokemon were running about. She supposed that being a trainer would garner her the excitement and action. She received her father's ready consent and, after a tearful farewell, hooked onto a train leading to Kaishi Town when she was eighteen, leaving her family, including Meena and Damascus, behind in Firestone City.
